We demand York County Council and the York County Library Board of Trustees stop all efforts to remove, relocate, require a special label, or in any way impede access to any book in our York County SC Libraries due to their personal beliefs and/or opinions.

Advocacy
Advocating for our libraries is our main goal! Public libraries are an integral part of any community. They provide valuable resources that are unmatched by any other institution and York County is underserved by our current library system. Our mission is expanding and modernizing our community resources.
Community Needs Assessment
We are urging the library board and County Council to facilitate a formal needs assessment. This will shed light on the inadequacies of our current library system, aid in the projection of our community’s future requirements, and form the basis for appropriate strategic growth initiatives.
